Kaci Morris

Kaci Morris, rising senior at Albemarle High School. As we were shooting the yearbook images, Kaci saw herself in the lens and couldn't believe that she's already a senior.

Once she's finished at AHS, she hopes to attend UNCW or App. and work toward a degree in Elementary Ed.

Aaron Runs and Hides from Little Girls

There are many dangers inherent in wedding photography. Aaron found this out first-hand at Carla and Justin Knox's wedding Saturday.

Attacked by a swarm of little girls armed with shaving cream, our intrepid photographer ran and hid in a building until the danger passed.

Carla Knox

Carla Rushing became Carla Knox over the weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and we know they'll be very happy together.

Take look at a few of Carla's portraits below. She made a lovely bride.

Gracie

Five-month-old Gracie's watermelon was as big as her; but that didn't stop her from trying to eat it.

It's hard to chew through a watermelon rind when you don't have any teeth.

Andrew

Andrew Cook is a rising senior from Ohio. He and his family come back to visit their native home of Locust every year. Locust is still waiting for the Cook family to move back to Locust. Until then, we'll look forward to next year's visit.

First Watermelon Shots - Hot off the Press

15-month-old Ethan was the first to taste the watermelons this year with an early session yesterday. We don't know if it was because of the fruit or what, but he was a live-wire during his shoot. It was a perfect kickoff for our summer watermelon portraits.

By the way, he thought the watermelon was delicious.

Watermelon Day Countdown - Five Days to Go!

Only five days until Watermelon Day. Those who come will have the opportunity to participate in a watermelon eating contest. We want those who read the blog to have an advantage, so take a look at these tips:

1 - Develop a technique. The easiest way is also the messiest, with no utensils, but there are still possibilities for success using a fork or spoon.
2 - Swallow the seeds or chew them with your bite of watermelon. Spitting the seeds will cut into your eating time.
3 - Make sure your hair is pulled back out of your face, if applicable. You don't want to be distracted from the task at hand.
4 - Take lots of small bites you can swallow almost whole. Chewing is another factor that will hurt your eating time.
5 - Eat fast and furious. At most contests, the competition is cutthroat.
6 - Have fun and worry about the mess later.
