LP is no more.

This is it! The moment you've all been waiting for. We're revealing, for the first time, our BRAND NEW name. We are no longer the old Little Photography. We are now the brand spankin' new, BAMBOO STUDIOS (aka the Bomb dot com)! But it's not just a new name. It's a new brand. A new identity.

Why make the change, you ask?

Well. We wanted to develop something new and exciting for you guys. With a stronger focus on Senior Photography.

No worries though! Although the name is different, we're still the same people. Same location. Same phone number. (However, we will be changing the sign out front as soon as we get the chance). And we're introducing both a new website and a new blog. So any updates, images, and news will be posted on the Bamboo Studios Blog. The bamboo way. And definitely check out the new and improved Bamboo Studios Website. You can access both at www.bamboostudios.net. Be sure to add them to your favorites. You'll want to check back regularly. No doubt about it.

And last but not least, our hours will be changing as well. To better accomodate our clients we will now be open Tuesday through Friday from 10-6. You know, giving you time to get off work and mosey on over here for your shoots/ consultations. Who's workin' for ya babe?

We hope that the newness of everything is as exciting to you as it is to us. We love that we get the chance to personalize the studio. We're infusing more personality, more creativity, more all-around awesomeness into the studio, so that YOU can reap the benefits.

Want to know what we mean by that? We thought so! We're planning an open house in the near future to give you guys a little taste of what Bamboo Studios is all about. And what it can do for you (more details to come).

In the meantime, visit our new site and blog and soak in as much awesomeness as you can. We'll be in touch soon!

Wildflowers. Holler.

Just wanted everyone to know that we've posted a few images up from our Saturday Wildflower shoots. We couldn't resist slapping up some of the awesomeness as soon as possible. They're up on the Family Blog, so scoot on over and take a peek. You know you want to!

The FRIENDATHON!!!

What is a Friendathon? And is it really worthy of three exclamation points?

Well, a Friendathon is the contest of all contests. And yes, it's worthy. And you're about to find out why.

This contest is a little different than ones in the past. We have posted images up in the group as usual, BUT, they are there simply so that you can see how amazing our Hype Team is. And how awesome we can make people look. So remember that when it's time to schedule your senior pictures. Which is (cough, cough) right NOW.

And that is precisely what the following contest is about. We want to get people involved in Facebook. We just can't get enough of you guys. So, here is your mission, if you so choose to accept it: Get ALL of your friends to join the LP Facebook Group. If you get ten friends to join, your name will be entered to win an amazing prize.

Do you have more than ten friends? Then by all means, invite them! For every ten friends you get to join, we'll submit your name AGAIN. So if any of you know anything about probability... the more entries, the greater chance for you to win. So enough small talk and onto the Grand Prize.

Whoever gets their name drawn at the end of the contest (Last entries will be accepted no later than May 15th), will win a... wait for it... FREE ON-LOCATION SENIOR SESSION. And just to give you an idea of how incredible that is, it's a $200 value and a three hour shoot. That's three hours of fun with yours truly and the infamous Aaron, unlimited outfit changes, a variety of crazy awesome places, and to-die-for pictures. That's hardcore, folks. This contest is obviously geared towards our local seniors, but for all of you who aren't seniors, the prize is transferable. Graduation is coming up. This would make the perfect gift. As you can see below, this is something you definitely want!

So, here's the deal and then I'll leave you to do your thing. Get your friends to join, BUT when they do, make sure they post on the wall (of the LP Facebook Group) who invited them. That's how we'll make the tallies so it's imperative that you have them let us know who brought them to the group. Not a member? Go to this link, join up, and go to town inviting all of your friends. This is huge guys. We're stoked to see who wins.

...Annnnnnd GO!

*Grand prize does not include credit. IS most definitely transferable. And travel fees may apply.

And the iTunes gift card goes to...

Miss Christi Burton! For this awesome image she submitted in our LP Facebook Group contest:

What a few people had to say about it:

Kristin: "Very nice shot."
Katarina: "Very pretty and great close up shot."
Hannah: "Gorgeous."
Daniel: "This is my fave. Hands down."

And who was the random voter chosen to win an iTunes gift card? The lucky voter would be Gideon M. Burnett.

Amazing picture, Christi. Congrats to you both!

A special thanks to Chris Chittenden, Taylor Bowers, Jenna Hickinbotham, and Mary Green for your photo submissions. We loved all of them! And for all of you who voted. We love all of our LP fans. THANK YOU for being involved!

Really WILDflowers

Hey Friends.

We wanted to shoot out a little memo to all of you who like awesome things. You know, like pretty flowers, lovely weather, and playing outside. Because if you do, we've got just the thing for you. Wildflower sessions officially begin on Saturday, May 2nd. They'll continue through the following week until Friday, May 8th.

Wildflower sessions last up to one hour and cost $150 with a $50 credit going back towards your order. BUT, for a limited time only (I've always wanted to say that), we are offering a promotion that'll knock your socks off. If you book a session between the moment you read this blog and tomorrow, April 24th at 5pm, we'll knock off $50. So you'd only be investing $100 and $50 of that would still go back towards your order. WOW.

If you're having trouble picturing what this might look like, take a look at a few shots from Wildflower Fest 2008.

Keep in mind that these sessions are just as fabulous for seniors as they are for families. Our Porter Ridge Hype Team Member from last year, Miss Katie Davis, is living proof.

We'll be here at the studio during regular business hours so if you're interested, give us a shout! Dates and times are first come first serve. And FYI, we'll be scheduling appointments as late as 6pm on select days. So all of you working folk have no reason not to call. Right. Now! 704.888.2881.

Ashlee

I know what you're thinking. WOWZA. Our sentiment exactly. This is the lovely Miss Ashlee from Piedmont. She is yet another one of our fabulous Hype Team members. We are so lucky to have her as part of the team.

Ashlee loves theater and would one day like to become the next Elle Woods. She plans on going to ECU, quite possibly to major in Psychology.

She loves to laugh and is full of spirit. In fact, she started a spirit club at her school called the P.H.A.T. club. Now that, my friends, is worth cheering for. And although you can't see me right now, I've got my spirit fingers going.

We had an absolute blast spending time with Ashlee. We explored, laughed, and goofed off. And as you can see, we also caught some amazing shots. Keep your eyes open for more.

Meanwhile, pick up the phone and call to schedule a session for yourself. 704.888.2881. It'll be the most brilliant move you'll ever make.

ClintDAWG

Here he is. The man of the hour: Clint, the one and only. He goes to Jay M. Robinson, home of the Bulldogs, and plans on heading off to Florida for college.

We've been given the opportunity to spend some quality time with this guy and we can't get enough. He's what we like to call, our "mentee." What is that, you might ask...

Well, Clint is one of the lucky few who have chosen to work with us for their senior project. Our pal, Kody, also chose to be mentored by the LP staff. You'll remember him from his infamous Rock 'N Roll session. Kody just couldn't get enough of the awesomeness we offer. So, he came back for seconds.

Not only is Aaron a magnificant photographer, but he is also a fabulous mentor. His knowledge is mind-melting and will rock your face off. Sounds painful. And well, sometimes it is. But fantastic pictures like these are well worth it, wouldn't you agree?

All it takes is a simple phone call, people. 704.888.2881. Do it to it.

FB Photo Contest

Alright Ladies and Gentleman. We've got the contest photos posted up in the LP Facebook Group. Which means it's time to get your vote on.

We've left the photos anonymous for the time being. We want unbiased opinions here, folks. Let us know which is your favorite. We'll leave 'em up for two weeks. So don't waste any time!

Not only will the winning photographer win an iTunes gift card, but so will a randomly selected voter. That could be you. Take a chance. Now go!

Easter Hunting

Hey there guys and gals.

Well, we're heading out for the Easter weekend, but I wanted to leave you with some eye-ball slapping goodness. These are a couple more shots from Hunter's session. Enjoy!

Peace Lily,

Aaron

Hype Hunter

We couldn't be more excited about introducing you to the Hype Team member we snagged from Cannon. Her name is Hunter. And she is the bomb diggity. No doubt.

As you can see, she did an awesome job. Letting Aaron and I boss her around and all... You were such a good sport, Hunter!

She is a great addition to the Hype Team for so many reasons. Not only is she amazing in front of the camera, but she's also pretty incredible behind it. She is both the photographer for the Concord Youth Council and her school's newspaper.

Hunter is an avid traveler and would one day like to become fluent in Spanish. She loves Toblerones and the Steve Miller Band.

Hunter once sang N*Sync karaoke on a cruise ship in Croatia. Obviously, She's our kind of girl. She fits right in along with Aaron's crazy antics and my extreme randomness. We had such a blast on her shoot. We've got big plans for Hunter here at the studio. Expect more even awesomer (Yes, that's a word!) pictures soon.

Isn't she beautiful, folks? She reminds me of a younger version of the lovely Jenny Lewis... Fun and unique. The perfect combination.

Hunter rocked our faces off. And she'll do the same to you if you're not careful!

If you would still like to become a part of the hippest team in town, it's not too late. As long as you're graduating in 2010, you're qualified. Just fill out this questionnaire and send it our way. We'll take care of the rest.

Hi.

Hello Cyber Buddies. Long time no Blog.

How is everyone? Doing good? Frustrated with the weather like we are here at the studio? Seriously, it would be nice if it would go ahead and make up its mind already. I'm done guessing. Who's with me?!

Sorry for the rant. Moving along...

So while the weather hasn't been the best, Aaron and I decided to take advantage of the fog that has decided to visit so regularly. If you can't beat it, join it, right? So yesterday we set off with an old wooden chair, a couple of suitcases, a super large picture frame and a pair of pink rain boots with green polka dots. Why? To scout for a few brand new locations of course!

Check out what we found:

Oh, and by the way. The girl in the picture. Yep, that's me. Haley. I've been here for almost a year now and this is my first intro to the LP scene. Such a shame. But you won't see me complaining. I'm not the biggest fan of having my picture taken. I'm not what you would call, photogenic. Ironic isn't it.

I know exactly what you're thinking. The ratios of these pictures are incredible! You like panoramic views? So do we. Which is why we offer prints in strange and unique sizes. Not just your everyday 4x6. Yep, we do it up big here at LP.

... So, as you can see, the above images are a testament to the awesome photography skills of the oh-so-lovely Aaron. If he can make me look good, TRUST ME, he can make you look good. Which is why you need to call and book your senior session today. 704.888.2881. Seriously. Call. It'll be the best decision you ever make. Plus! You get to hang with us. I promise I'm much less melancholy in person : )

Calling All Photographers!!

OK, here’s the deal. You guys have plugged into the LP Facebook Group and viewed pictures that we’ve taken here at the studio for weeks and weeks (thank you for that by the way). But now it’s your turn. We want to see YOUR photos. So here’s what we were thinking. This next contest is going to be all about you.

We need you to submit your favorite photos. Ones that you camera pros have taken yourselves. The subject matter is up to you. But friends, keep it clean! Questionable photos will not be entered. Sorry!

Then, we’ll post them to the group page and let your fellow members vote on their favorite. Same rules apply. The image with the most votes, wins. The photographer with the winning image will receive an awesome iTunes gift card and another randomly chosen voter will win the same.

If you have an image you’d like to submit, just email it to haley@littlephotography.net. We’ll accept entries starting now until Friday, April 3rd. We’ll post them the following week and the rest is up to you guys! (You can find all of this information up on the FB group page as well).

Ready. Set. Go!

Emily Haupert | Facebook Winner

Here she is, folks... Miss Emily. She snagged the winning votes with this very image:

Both Emily and our randomly selected voter, Katarina, will be receiving $10 iTunes gift cards. If they can win, so can you. Just drop by the LP Facebook group and participate in our polls and contests. They're fun AND you win free stuff. It doesn't get much better than that.

So, if you want awesome senior pictures like Emily. And think it sounds fun to sit in a lawn chair in the middle of the road, call and schedule your own shoot with us today. As you can see, we have a blast. 704.888.2881. It's time!

Hey Strangers

Sorry for the blog silence. We've been crazy busy here at the studio wrapping up loose ends and trying to prepare for senior season. Which is coming up, my friends. Get ready for some changes. Changes we know you'll love. Because they're awesome. Like we're capable of anything less ; )

That being said, to fill the awkward silence, we thought it necessary to share with you a recent project. As most of you know, we have created yearbook ads for several of our Revolutionaries. So here is one of them. Our very own, Axel Smith. In all his glory.

It's time to start scheduling those senior sessions ladies and gentlemen. Call 704.888.2881 to book a time that works for you.

Until another day... Be Awesome.

Facebook Winner

Good Golly Miss Molly, you've done it again! The winning image:

What a few voters had to say:
Amanda- "Awesome pic! My favorite!
Tristan- "Best of the best."
Elisa- "This is by far the best pic, it's so colorful and full of life."

For the second time, Molly's photo has impressed the voters. And once again, she'll be getting an iTunes gift card. As well as our random voter, Crystal Genes.

2008 Roll Call

Just wanted to do a quick roll call for all the folks of 2008 that we weren't able to blog. Sorry for the delay. It's like I always say, better late than never, right?

Meet Michelle. She's a senior at West Stanly. Michelle is a huge UNC fan and a good friend of our WSHS Ambassador, Emily Talley.

Kyle, a fellow Colt, is a big fan of the Greenbay Packers and enjoys playing golf and hunting.

This is Jordan. She attends Stanly Community College. She's into hip-hop and ballroom dancing.

Justin is a senior at Weddington. In his free time, you can find him wakeboarding and snowboarding. Basically, anything with a board.

Lindsay is yet another senior at West Stanly. She works, goes to school, and loves the NC classic, Cherry Lemon Sundrop.

Logan attends Lancaster High. He's interested in video production and plays both tennis and basketball.

We had a blast with ALL of our 2008 Revolutionaries. We're really looking forward to the Senior season of 2009. Give us a call at 704.888.2881 to schedule your session today! We promise it'll be awesome. And you'll look awesome. Because you are awesome (We think).

Kody

As you can see, this is Kody. He's a senior at Mt. Pleasant and our first official revolutionary of '09.

His mom came to us wanting something different for his tux shots. Something the school photographer wasn't able to give her... pure awesomeness!

We saw Kody's potential as soon as he walked in the door, wearing a funky, multi-colored jacket. We couldn't resist. He was much too Rock & Roll for run-of-the-mill tux shots.

So, we did what we do here at LP and made him look awesome.

Keep your eyes open for Kody's Facebook debut. He and a fellow MPHS Tiger will be competing for an iTunes gift card in the LP Group.

We can make you look awesome too, you know. Senior season is coming up soon. Call and schedule your appointment today! 704.888.2881.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

And the winner is...

Miss Molly Coppadge. Her image was chosen as the Facebook Group favorite.

Just a few of the many comments:

Josh- "This one really pops! I think it's the best."
Lisa- "HELLO!! of course this is the best pick... KU BASKETBALL. Duh."
David: "I like this picture. You look very cute, nice smile."

And Sarah Arnett was the randomly chosen voter : ) Both winners will be receiving iTunes gift cards.

Another round of images have been posted for your voting pleasure. This time you get to pick the ULTIMATE winning image from the archives of the 2008 Revolutionaries.

You know the drill. Get your vote on.
