2008 Revolutionaries

At LP, we don't see high school seniors entering our studio; we see explorers, artists, scholars, revolutionaries – incredible young men and women of an emerging generation that will change the world.

In 2007 we met some of the coolest folks from schools all over the greater Charlotte area and we're excited to be getting into our 2008 senior portrait season.

To kick things off, we've put together a little show in honor of our 08 senior clients. Be sure to crank your volume up.

Presenting the 2008 LP Revolutionaries:

VSA - A Closer Look

As promised, here's the scoop about Very Special Arts.

Aaron and I (Matt) had the privilege of hanging out at our old school, Piedmont High, for the event. It's basically like the Special Olympics, but with art.

About 500 kids showed up and had a blast playing games, doing arts and crafts, dancing, and more.

The day started with a parade. The kids were going crazy in the stands.

Chick-Fil-A provided food.

I manned the giant inflatable caterpillar. The kids went in one side, through a obstacle course, and out the other side. They loved it.

Occasionally I had to help the kids get started. It was gooey in there.

This little guy gave a huge speech at the beginning. I couldn't hear it from where I was, but it sounded like the crowd was into it.

Recognize this guy? It's prom model Mike Larsson. Lauren Turner was around somewhere, but we couldn't find her. There were a ton of people there.

Bustin' a move in the disco.

A word about Mrs. Price. She was my art teacher all through high school. I even took zero period art (before school began) so I could fit in two art classes my senior year.

She is a great teacher and an awesome person. She has been at the helm of Very Special Arts for 14 years and she does a wonderful job.

We're so thankful that we could be there. Seeing the joy on the children's faces was priceless.

If you were there and would like to get some of these pictures, we plan to make them available for download soon. Keep checking the blog for details to come.

Heads up!

Little Photography will be closed from 12 to 1:30pm tomorrow, April 11.

Isabella

Her mom calls her Bella.

She was happy as she could be getting her picture taken.

It's amazing how quickly happiness can turn into extreme hunger.

Her session was a lot of fun. She made our job very easy.

Katherine

Wow...what to say about Katherine.

She is one of the funniest, most effervescent little ones we've ever had in the studio. She brought a smile to our faces from the moment she arrived to the moment she left.

We can't wait to see her back again.
